I don't know if anyone actually reads this blog but what the heck!
Just a quick note to let it be known that I finally got around to publishing my first two short story pairs. They are currently only available on Amazon. Each is a main story, with a second story paired with it (to add value, hopefully). They are under the pen name "Scott Dyson". The first is SOLE OCCUPANT and it is $0.99 on Amazon. It contains the 2400 word main story SOLE OCCUPANT and the short flash fiction piece THE ONLY SOLUTION (~700 words). The second is ODD MAN OUT and it is also $0.99 on Amazon. It contains the 1600 word main story ODD MAN OUT and a second horror tale, HOUSE AT THE BEND IN THE ROAD (~1800 words). That's 3100 words (about 14 pages with author note) for the first pair and 3400 words (about 15 pages with short author note) for the second pair. Take a look at them if you're so inclined. Bulls and Bears
Not Wall Street, we're talking State Street here.
The Bulls currently have the best record in the NBA and they're doing it without Derrick Rose at the moment. And without Rip Hamilton (but that's been the case all year). They haven't always won in dominant fashion, but they have been winning. It's again great to be a Bulls fan.
And the Bears - what is all this? They get the wideout they so desperately need, even if he does have some off-field issues. And they didn't overpay for him. They've filled holes, signed their own players when it made sense, let a few go when it made sense, and generally have looked like a team that's actually trying to win something next year! Gotta love it.
And we have a new start with Theo Epstein on the north side, and with Robin Ventura managing the south-siders. And the Hawks are in the playoffs, or so it looks, and they might be the team that NO ONE wants to play this year.
Right now, it's OK to be a Chicago sports fan!

No news = ? News...
I haven't been posting anything here, because I haven't had much to say about Chicago sports at the moment.
The Cubs have had an okay spring, and apparently will start the season with Carlos Silva and Tom Gorzellany in their rotation. The Sox look good to me, regardless of their spring record. The Hawks are playing okay again after a bit of a slump after the Olympic break. The Bulls won a game with Noah back in limited minutes. I don't even know what they did in their last game. And the Bears made a huge splash in free agency, signing Julius Peppers, Chester Taylor and a couple others.
Nothing really bad, nothing really good (except the Bears news, which was really good, I think). So...no new posts. I'll probably get back to posting more here soon.
